What could possibly be better than listening to live music with someone special under the summer sky? Nothing really unless your forecast calls for a thunderstorm. We were unfortunate enough to be caught in a thunderstorm that ended the night early for the Tony Bennett and Diana Krall concert that we initially attended. That was back in July. Now it’s August and with comped tickets and floor seats we were given an opportunity to attend a concert of the London Symphony Orchestra performing Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
In all honesty I did not have high hopes for this concert because the first few times that I listened to Beethoven’s No. 9 I dozed off. That’s right folks, call me uncouth and/or uncultured but it was a snoozefest for me. Don’t get me wrong, it was a great venue and the experience was interesting, I just wish that we had that perfect summer sky for the Tony Bennett and Diana Krall concert. Oh well, an experience none the less and now I can say that Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 is not for me.
