So I’m taking Baking Arts 101 at George Brown College with a friend. Several years ago I took a couple of cooking courses at George Brown (also with friends) and we never had to wear chef’s whites. It looks like they’ve realized that they can make more money by making it a requirement to wear chef’s whites so now you MUST be in full uniform before you are permitted to join the class. If you ask me it’s silly, especially as a continuing education student since most con-ed students do these courses for general interest. I felt like I was back in Catholic high school at RJ McCarthy’s getting fitted for those grey slacks and white shirt.
