The Power of Gratitude

Gratitude is a virtue.  It is a positive state of mind that can be the first step of pulling yourself up and out of misery, loneliness, and sadness.  Gratitude is focusing on the good in your life and being thankful for it.  Those times when you feel low or lonely try practicing gratitude and you’ll be amazed how you have the power within to pull yourself up and out of that pit of negativity. Too often we take things for granted and overlook the simple things that we should be grateful for.  Gratitude is not hard to practice, you can start by being thankful for the simple fact that you are alive.  I practice gratitude daily and it has helped me to maintain my focus on nurturing the relationships in my life.  I am grateful for the people that have always been in my life, those that have just come into my life, and those that have left.
